Located on the outskirts of North Ari Atoll, Gangehi Island Resort & Spa features a diving school, spa, and a long sand bank. It offers rooms situated over water, on the beach, or within tropical gardens.

Seaplane transfer takes 25 minutes from Male International Airport. The return rates are:
Adult: USD 435, round trip, inclusive of all taxes

A wonderful resort on a beautiful island

A wonderful resort on a beautiful island. We stayed in the Deluxe Overwater Villa, which was luxuriously furnished and equipped. The entrance directly from the terrace to the water was amazing. They cleaned twice every day and refilled the water bottles in the morning. They cook excellently in the restaurant. A large selection of local and Italian cuisine at dinner. Also fish every day. The kitchen staff also took care of our gluten-free diet - they baked gluten-free bread and pastries and prepared gluten-free pasta. Free water served at dinner. Beautiful sandy beaches with a coral reef with fish, turtles and reef sharks. Attentive staff. We recommend it to everyone.

Staff were good, nice view, i like the activity there, you can request a jet ski and other sea activities but a little expensive, you can go to another local island but its more expensive 40$++ each person and its not worth it tbh because it is quite no activities and only three shops. Spa lady was so good, and also the reception were so helpful.

Resort is not clean at all, sticky floor, dirty plate and cups also the bathroom was so dirty and the toilet paper was so dirty, everything you request you have to pay for it even the water if you request for more you have to pay, even the first aid we pay for it . there is no any other option for the food, you only have to eat the resort food, bring your snacks with you if you are planning to stay with them, and don’t take the speed boat it will take around 3 hours not 1:45 as they told us and it wasn’t safe at all. Take the seaplane.

Wonderful

Dream island, very clean and beautifully arranged. The water villa is amazing, stunning view.

Everything very expensive, at least the water should be included. Also the snorkel mask should be included (10 USD fee per day to rent).

Beyond expectations is the right word for this

Gangehi Island resort was a dream resort - this is one of the best places to visit in Maldives. Myself and my wife had requested vegetarian meal - the breakfast and dinner had so many options that we were eating 3 plates every day. The rooms were amazing. The shower idea that has you hearing the ocean while shower just brought that extra special feeling. To be able to open your balcony door, go out and straight into the Indian ocean. Amazing friendly staff - always wishing you well.

Perhaps a few amenities like water could be free as there is no store on the island.

Beautiful Resort, Lovely Staff!

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The front staff assisted us schedule a seaplane for our departure, and coordinated with the provider to ensure we arrived to the airport on time, and that we maximized our stay at the resort without worrying about transportation or long wait at the airport. The restaurant and bar staff that we interacted with were very friendly and professional too. They offered us top notch service, made us feel welcome, and our stay memorable. We hope to visit again next year.

The clean-up could have been better. The dirty dishes that we used for room service such as wine glasses and plates were not picked up from our room at all for the entire duration of our stay. The bathroom faucets were also dirty and sticky - could use some TLC.

Great stay Not so great Food

We had booked a Deluxe water bungalow, and the view was amazing. The room was super nice and comfortable. No complaints about the stay part at all. The staff was wonderful and super helpful.

The food was "Below Ok". For a vacation where one looks forward to good food as basic it was very dissapointing. We had an "All inclusive" package for which one pays a lot, and it was literally Pasta for Lunch and Diner, fish curry and egg curry for lunch and diner. Even the live counter was just pasta. Their salad variety was great which saved the day. PCR testing was 150 USD per head, which was more than my airfare cost, so keep a note of that.

Private place to relax

Wild nature is very close - sharks, a lot of different fish! Beautiful water and perfect sandbank. Very nice staff in the restaurant Rich and delicious dinners The island is very private and you can really relax there Different tours are also available (snorkling, diving, mantas, local islands), but you need to wait until there are min 6 people in the list.

Resort is not very fresh, but it is ok for this value of money. But the area in the middle of the island still needs to be changed (old football field etc). Water can be included into the price of room. It is strange to buy the water each time for almost 7USD per 1,5l. Even on dinner water is not included. You are not feeling that You are welcome to this island. Because of management team. One thing more, this is not the responsibity of the resort, but maybe this info is useful for somebody: the boat transfer is not on time, so have a couple of free hours

Everything about this property was amazing!

Everything about this property was amazing! The location is incredible, you can snorkel at the near reef all around the island. The food was very good, everything was always fresh and all the dishes were light and perfect for the island life. The staff are all super friendly and nice, they help you with anything and are always available. All the areas, both private and shared are clean and looked after. Our stay here was an absolute treat and we look forward to coming back very soon!

A nice place to stay but suitable more for people from Europe

the decor, the cleanliness, the service was really good, the spa was good, breakfast was good too

excursions need to be made better - say I wanted to dolphin safari but there was a limit on min number of guests which is not right, the sunset river cruise was done on a huge boat which doesnt look good at all, the dinner menu needs to include better options for vegetarians

An almost perfect trip

Breathtaking location, beautiful, peaceful. Fantastic scuba diving and snorkeling supported by an amazing diving team. Great to have a marine biologist on the Island. Enjoyed daily yoga. Yummy food. Waiters, bar staff and cleaners really friendly and helpful. Beach villa wonderful.. private and peaceful. Really enjoyed the dolphin watch trip. Sea plane connections very well organised. Kayaking was fun. Thank you all.

Having to send documentation to prove we were on honeymoon in advance of the trip was unnecessary and left us feeling a lack of trust. It was a nice gesture to be upgraded to an oversea villa for the first night but this was only communicated to us as we were walking to the villa. We had chosen the beach villa as our preference over the oversea villa, and this meant there was a 1 day delay in settling into our chosen beach villa. Once in our beach villa we requested a kettle to make tea and coffee in our room (a basic facility provided in hotels across the world) but were told in no uncertain terms by the guest relations manager that this is against the policy for a beach villa and we wouldn’t be getting one!

Gorgeous Island with nice beautiful sandy beach.

Gorgeous Island with nice beautiful sandy beach. Food was simple but good quality. Lots of fish dishes restaurant with good service. Private villa on the beach provided comfort and everything we needed in nice Maldivian style.

We only had 2 bottles of 1.5 litter of water per day for 4 people which we drank fast and the rest we had to purchase for 6.7 USD for the 1,5 litters bottle my feeling that water should be included because water is essential. Our bill was about 300 USD at the end of the stay just for water. Guess when all inclusive package that is not a problem

Loved it.

It's a beautiful place. The rooms are nice, the staff are friendly and service minded. The food was quite varied and well prepared. The shampoo, soap and conditioner in the bathroom were in refillable containers, though they could have been labelled as we forgot which was which! The diving was well prepared and a great experience too.

We did not book the all inclusive package. We were happy to pay for our drinks but would have liked the drinking water at the restaurant to be included with the half board option. It's a shame they used plastic bottles in the room for drinking water.

Spectacular

Wonderful resort on a beautiful island. Our room (deluxe water villa) was spectacular, as is the reef around the island. We’ve seen sharks, rays, and turtles on a daily basis. 100% recommended!

Such a beautiful place!

We loved our stay at Gangehi and would highly recommend to others. Such a peaceful and relaxing island with many activities if you are interested in them! The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and the air conditioning was great. Loved the food, there were plenty of options every day. The view from the main bar is beautiful. We will definitely be back one day. Thank you to all the staff at Gangehi for an amazing and unforgettable stay.

The day trip to the reef should have snorkelling gear included in the price. There were times where our water in the room wouldn’t work but staff were very quick and efficient to fix the problem! Other than those 2 minor things, we can’t really fault this place. We loved it and didn’t want to leave.
